Feb.13, 2018: The Family Welfare Committee of the Parish organized Senior Citizens Day on Sunday 11 February 2018 for all the Parishioners above the age of 65. About 105 Elders of our Parish participated in this one of a kind program.
The program commenced with breakfast and registration at 9:30 a.m. followed by prayer and input session by Dr. Edward Nazareth a renowned doctor of Father Muller Charitable Institutions. In His session, Dr. Nazareth stressed on the need to live a tension free life giving simple health tips and basic do’s and don’t(s) for a healthy life.
The participants were then accompanied to the Church for a time of confessions, Holy Mass and Eucharistic Adoration. Fr Bernard SVD, Director of Arnold Nivas, Old Age Home celebrated the Holy Mass and broke the Word of God. After the Holy Mass, a time of Adoration of the Eucharistic Lord led by Fr Victor D’Mello. During the adoration, the faithful were anointed with Holy Oil.
After the receiving the Final Blessings the senior citizens gathered once again to the hall for a short entertainment program followed by a sumptuous lunch prepared and served by our active parishioners. The Elderly people enjoyed the program with many appreciating the effort put in and thanking the organizers for the wonderful program.
We are grateful to the entire Family Welfare Team and other parishioners who worked tirelessly behind the success of this program.
