As part of Christmas celebration, an intercommunity gathering and cultural programme 'Bandhuthva Christmas' was celebrated at Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem on Tuesday December 25, 2018.

Fr Victor D’mello, Parish Priest, Kirem Church, presided over the stage programme.

Prof. Jagadesh Holla- Principal Pompei college Aikala, T.H. Mayyadi – Kinnigoli Panchayat member, Dr. Clarence Miranda – Retired Principal Pompei college Aikala, attended as chief guests. Fr. Jayaprakash D’Souza, Fr Mervin Norhona SVD & Sr Christella BS were also present.

All the leaders of the different communities conveyed the message of peace and stressed on communal harmony and humanity.

A Tablo by the parishnors depicting the Birth of Jesus Christ, That is Annunciation, Birth, Visit of Shepherds, Magi & the massacre of infants by Herod were staged, also the present situation of the world & the need to accept the message of Jesus was stressed, Santaclaus and a few other dances by the little ones Save the nature were also presented.

Burton Sequeira, vice president of the parish council welcomed the dignitaries and guests. Anita Dsouza, secretary of the parish council delivered the vote of thanks.
