August 15th – the feast of Our Lady’s Assumption was celebrated with high mass at 7.00 Am. Followed by flag hoisting ceremony to honour our nation on the occasion of independence day. Fr. Victor D’Mello Parish Priest Hoisted the flag in the presence of a huge crowd of Parishioners.

A cultural programme was held to mark the “Konkani fudaraso Dees” Dr. Edward Nazareth, the well known Konkani writer and orthopaedic surgeon was the chief guest. The presidents of Kinnigoly and Aikala grampanhayaths were the guests. During the function the parishioners who contested in the gram Panchayat elections, those, who scored highest marks in S.S.L.C, P.U.C & degree exams were felicitated. Ms Pearl D’costa who passed her CA, Mrs Severince Lobo who was elected as the director for MCC Bank were also honoured. The 14 ward members presented colourful entertainment to the crowd.
