Aug 21, 2017: The feast of St John Berchmans, patron saint of the Altar Servers and the feast of the Marian Sodality was celebrated on August 20, 2017. The celebration began with a Solemn High Mass celebrated by Rev. Fr Jayaprakash and preached by Rev Fr Victor D’Mello. The Altar Servers were all vested for the occasion and Sodality members also participated in the liturgy of the day. After the sermon, the Altar Servers made the renewal of the vows and recommitted themselves to the service of the altar.
Soon after the Holy Mass, a short, entertaining program was arranged in the Main Hall. Our young boys and girls entertained the gathering with their beautiful performances of dance, speech and skits. Fr Victor the director of the Altar Boys inspired all, with his wonderful words of appreciation and encouragement. The members of YCS later conducted few fun-filled games for all boys and girls. The program concluded with lunch.
