Nov 22, 2017: Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem celebrated its "Annual Feast" on Wednesday November 22 with a Solemn High Mass at 10:30 a.m. celebrated by Rev Fr. Nelson D’Almeida, Professor, St Joseph’s Inter-Diocesan Seminary, Jeppu and con-celebrated by the Parish Priest Rev Fr Victor D’Mello, SVD priests and other priests of deanery and the diocese.
In His Homily, Fr Nelson stressed on the importance of Feast and its impact on the spiritual growth of a Parish. The Faithful expressed and proclaimed their faith by gathering in large numbers and participating in the Holy Eucharist meaningfully. Prior to the Holy Mass, Rev Fr Victor distributed the love offering candles to all the donors of the feast. There were all the more reasons of joy in celebrating the feast this year as it was the first feast of the renovated church.
Throughout the day of the feast, people from different religious backgrounds visited the church praying in devotion seeking favors from God through the intercession of Our Lady of Remedies. The Festivities continued throughout the day with the ICYM, YCS and Altar Servers groups conducting games, auctions throughout the day. The Fair continued till late evening with people frequenting various stalls and having a good time
