World Environment Day celebrated at Kirem Church

“World Environment Day” was celebrated at Our Lady of Remedies Church by the Parish Women’s Association and Commission for Environment on June 11th 2023.

An Eco-friendly bench constructed out of plastic bottles bricks was inaugurated on the occasion and few saplings were planted at the church yard.

Equal sized plastic bottles stuffed with plastic bags, crisp wrappers and other non-biodegradable wastes were turned into eco-bricks.

The aim behind organising this programme was to give awareness to people to reduce the use of plastic and keep the environment clean and safe from pollution.

Reduce, Reuse and Recycle the plastic were the catch words of the day.
