“International Women’s Day” was celebrated at Our Lady of Remedies Church, Kirem under the leadership of “Jyothi Women’s Organization” and Commission for women on 13th March 2022. The program started with the Holy Eucharistic celebration at 7.00 a.m.

The stage program was held at 3.30 p.m on that day at Bi centenary hall. Resource person Mrs. Anitha D’Costa - Aikala Grama Panchayat member, Mr. Maxim Pinto Parish Council Secretary, Mr. Santhan DSouza Co-ordinator of Pastoral commissions, Sr. Diana Monteiro animator for women and women achievers Viz Mrs. Severine Lobo, Mrs Vinitha DMello, Mrs. Eugine Saldanha, Mrs. Vinny DSouza, Mrs Veronica Vas, Laveena Pereira the president of “Jyothi women’s organization" and Mrs. Shalini DSouza the convener of women’s commission were present on the dais. Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Oswald Monteiro presided over the program.

Mrs Laveena Pereira welcomed the gathering. Mrs. Anitha DCosta in her keynote address enlightened everyone with government facilities available now.

Thereafter women achievers are felicitated. Parish council secretary cheered for all the women.

Rev Fr Oswald Monteiro in his address to the gathering asked the women to motivate our youth and children to opt for government jobs.

This celebration brought fun, happiness and entertainment. Mrs. Shalini DSouza proposed the vote of thanks and Mrs Anitha DSouza was MC of the program. Around 200 women participated in the program.
